We are excited to announce that the Grainger Foundation has awarded Harmony, Hope & Healing a $5,000 grant for our choir program.
This grant will enable Harmony, Hope & Healing to grow the choir in preparation for two exciting projects this year: singing at Grant Park Music Festival on July 5 & 6 and the Homeless Persons’ Memorial on December 17.
We are committed to creating a community of singers who feel supported and valued. This grant will allow us to provide CTA passes and Mariano's gifts cards to our choir members who are experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. We will also be able to offer a small honorarium to choir members at the end of the projects.
Carole and Enrique from the Grainger and Katie Nee, our dear friend from Old St. Pat's, visited our office to present us with our award. Of course, we couldn't let them leave without singing a few songs!
Thank you for helping us bring a little Harmony, Hope & Healing to both our choir members and audiences!
With the support of our donors and funders, Harmony, Hope & Healing currently provides music programming with 9 agencies at 14 program sites. We hold weekly choir rehearsals which are open to every Thursday, 1:30-3:00 pm, at Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center.
